I don't know, I just get these ideas. What if a wing folded back and the ribs of the wing pivoted to remain parallel with body, or fuselage. And what if the wing folding down caused it to fold back? Springs, strings and lots of trial and error, and it does actually work.

 

The wing span is 25 inches and it has a length of 19.
