This sculpture is assembled from oak strips fastened with bamboo pins, some hardwood dowels and just a few screws. The brass at the front of the body is antique salvaged from a dresser, and the head is a glass decanter top. The chains are also very old and made of copper.

Measuring 18 inches head to tail and sporting a 29 inch wingspan, this Kestrel is life-size. Enjoy the short video of this guy in action below:
